Power, Switching Regulators Collection

The Power, Switching Regulators Collection is a set of educational circuit boards designed to support first- and second-semester electronics courses focused on power electronics and switching regulator design.

This collection includes nine foundational power switching circuit configurations:

Each circuit is implemented as a standalone miniPCB™ with standardized layout, clear labeling, and accessible test points, making them easy to incorporate into power electronics lab environments. These boards are ideal for reinforcing key learning outcomes such as energy conversion efficiency, switching behavior, voltage regulation, and the principles of inductor- and capacitor-based energy storage.

Instructors can use the full set to guide students through a structured progression—from simple charge pumps and inverting converters to more advanced boost, buck, and buck-boost regulators—while encouraging hands-on analysis of switching waveforms, duty cycle control, and real-world power delivery challenges.
